Tanker Body Aluminum Plate 5182 5083
The production of tanker body has high requirements on raw materials and processing technology such as good corrosion resistance and processing performance. 5xxx aluminum alloys have good corrosion resistance and weldability, and can be widely used in ships, automobiles, rails, petrochemicals and other fields.
5xxx aluminum alloy plates are welded, wrapped or rolled, and are mainly used in the cylinders, heads and compartments of oil tank trucks. The 5083, 5454 and 5182 aluminum alloy wide plates produced by Haomei Aluminum are suitable for oil tank truck bodies.
At present, most tanker truck manufacturers mainly use 5083 aluminum alloy plates as tank materials, and the use of the tanker 5182 aluminum plate can better reflect its corrosion resistance and welding performance, and under the same loading quality, the tank wall thickness can be thinner and the weight can be lighter. In addition, 5454 aluminum plates can be used in high temperature environments or transport high temperature liquids.
The 5182 Al-Mg aluminum sheet is with moderate strength, corrosion resistance and good weldability. It is widely used in all fields from thin plates to thick plates. It has higher strength, whose tensile strength is slightly better than 5052 and 5083 aluminum alloys, and its yield strength is also better than 5052 and 5083 alloys. Because the alloy contains trace elements Si, it has excellent welding performance and can be used for gas welding, electric welding, seam welding and argon arc welding.
In the temperature range of 135°C, the mechanical properties of 5083 sheet (O/H111) are better than those of 5454 (O/H111). Therefore, when the temperature of the transported bulk materials is not higher than 135°C, such as cement, the tank material of the aluminum alloy powder tank semi-trailer should be 5083 (O/H111) sheet. In addition, 5083 aluminum sheet, as a tank body material for powder tank trucks, has a sufficient market practice basis in European powder tank trucks.
5083 sheet is an aluminum alloy containing magnesium and trace amounts of manganese and chromium. It is highly resistant to seawater and industrial chemicals. 5083 alloy still has special strength after welding. Tank trucks transporting LNG and large tanks storing LNG can be welded with aluminum alloy 5083-O plates.
