New Canada order of 5083 aluminum plate for tanker body

Days ago a Canada client of Haomei placed a 50-ton order for the 5083 aluminum plate for tanker body. The lead time is 60 days. He took a fancy to our good reputation and rich production experience. He was introduced by a regular client who has been purchasing from us for two years. 5083 is the most commonly used aluminum alloy for tanks. The customer chose H111 with a thickness of 6mm to make the tank body.

5083 aluminum plate has high strength, heat-treated alloy, good workability, corrosion resistance and welding performance, and is an ideal material for tank cars. The maximum length of the 5083 aluminum plate for tanker body commonly used in the industry is 12.5m, the width 2.2m, and thickness 5, 6, 7 or 8 mm. It takes around 5 pieces of such plates to make a tank body.

In addition to tanker bodies, 5083 aluminium plate can also be made into cylinder heads and baffles, but the state is much softer O rather than H***. The plate need to be bent in making cylinder heads and baffles, and O state is perfect for bending. Cylinder head plates are usually thicker than body plates, for the former withstand bigger shocks in sudden stopping of a tanker.

Haomei supplies 5083 aluminium tanker plates of H111, H32, H116 and O. The maximum width reaches 3800mm and length 16000mm. The alloy can also be supplied in coil state, since the biggest thickness of the tanker body aluminium does not exceed 8mm. If you need thicker ones, they will only be in shape of plates.
