5754 and 5454 H111 for Tank Truck

5xxx aluminum sheets are currently the most widely used aluminum alloys with high cost performance and excellent processability, weldability and other properties. While ensuring the strength of the car body, it also reduces the weight of the car body, effectively saves energy and reduces operation and maintenance costs. 5083, 5754, 5454, 5182 are all used for the tank truck manufacturing.

Both 5754 aluminum plate and 5083 aluminum plate are aluminum-magnesium alloy aluminum plates. The main difference between the two is the magnesium alloy content, hardness and elongation. The magnesium alloy content of 5754 aluminum plate is around 3%, and the magnesium alloy content of 5083 aluminum plate is as high as around 4.5%. At the same time, the hardness of 5083 aluminum plate is higher than that of 5754 aluminum plate. Of course, the price of 5083 aluminum plate is also higher.

5754 h111, h32 and h22 are it main tempers. The main production process of 5754-H32 aluminum sheet is: a hot-rolled plate with a cold working rate of 25% to 35%, intermediate annealing, cold rolling to the finished product thickness, stabilized annealing temperature of 140°C to 150°C, and holding time of 1 hour. The 5754-H32 plate produced according to the above process has stable performance, excellent surface quality, and meets the requirements of the EN485 standard.

At 320°C ~ 340°C, the material undergoes partial recrystallization, the strength decreases rapidly, and the elongation increases; after annealing at 330°C for 3 minutes, the tensile strength, yield strength, and elongation of the material are 250MPa, 150MPa, and 15.4% respectively. , meeting the index requirements of GB/T3880.2-2012. This process can be used to guide the production of 5754-H22 aluminum sheet.

5454 aluminum sheet is a typical rust-proof aluminum with medium strength. It has good forming performance, corrosion resistance and weldability, and meets the requirements of marine pipelines for material fatigue strength, plasticity and corrosion resistance. It is commonly used for pressure vessels such as fuel tanks and tank truck cylinders. Aluminum 5454 h111 is its common temper.

For the cold-rolled 5454 aluminum alloy with a deformation of 37.5%, the annealing temperature is < 120 ℃, which is the stabilization stage, and there is no major change in properties and structure; when 120 ~ 270 ℃, slight recovery occurs; when the annealing temperature reaches 270 ℃ , recrystallization begins to occur, and recrystallization is basically completed at 330 ° C. After annealing at 360 ~ 570 ° C, the properties and structure do not change significantly; at 600 ° C, the crystal grains obviously spheroidize and grow, and remelting and overburning occur.
