5000 Aluminum Sheets for Tank Truck
5059 aluminum sheet belongs to the 5 series aluminum-magnesium alloy aluminum plate, which has high strength, high plasticity and corrosion resistance, good weldability, and low crack tendency. With its unique advantages, it is widely used in special tank cars for petrochemical and other dangerous goods.
The optimal homogenization heat treatment process for 5059 alloy is 460℃×24 h. As the homogenization temperature of the alloy increases, the second phase with low melting point dissolves rapidly, but the over-burned structure appears in the alloy matrix when the homogenization temperature is 480℃.
When the homogenization temperature is 460℃, after holding for 24 hours, the β phase in the original as-cast alloy dissolves back to the matrix to a large extent, and at the same time, the inhomogeneous structure and dendritic network structure are basically eliminated.
5454 aluminum sheet is used to make the tank truck suitable for using under high temperature conditions. The wear resistance of the surface makes it the best material for powder tank cars. It has better corrosion resistance than other aluminum-magnesium alloys and ensures the strength of the material when the temperature reaches 65-170℃during long-term use, making the internal temperature of the aluminum tank car more stable and quality guaranteed.
5754 aluminum sheet belongs to almg3, which is a product with high magnesium alloy content. It has better anti-rust and corrosion resistance performance, medium hardness, higher hardness than 5052 aluminum plate, and has good bending performance.
5083 and 5182 aluminum sheet are suitable for making the tank bodies of oil tankers and other chemical transport vehicles. They have the characteristics of large size, medium strength, high-quality surface, high formability, and has good corrosion resistance and welding performance, and recyclability.
Not only is it safe and reliable, it is also good for environmental protection. In particular, the toughness and strength of 5083-H321 aluminum alloy will increase at low temperature, so it is very suitable for use in storage tanks for liquefied natural gas (LNG) in transport ships.
