The main alloying element of the 5000 series aluminum plate is Mg. It has good processing and forming performance, corrosion resistance, welding performance, fatigue strength and medium static strength.

5083 large aluminum sheet is the main alloy material for aluminum tank trucks. It can achieve a fairly high strength by work hardening without heat treatment. Among them, it has become a high-quality material for automobile, ship, and liquefied natural gas (LNG) ships due to its high strength, high toughness, corrosion resistance, easy processing, good thermal conductivity and fatigue resistance.

The common width of 5083 aluminum plates purchased by tank truck companies is 2.2 meters, and the thickness is 5mm, 6mm, 7mm, and 8mm. A tank truck is usually made of 4-6 ultra-wide aluminum plates. At the same time, due to the high strength, corrosion resistance, and wear resistance of the Alu5083, the aluminum alloy load tankers are more wear-resistant and durable, and have a long service life.

The gas cylinder of the truck is also made of 5083-h111 aluminum plate, which has good cleanliness. A dense and firm protective film is easily formed on the surface of the gas cylinder, which can play a good protective role, prevent corrosion of the gas cylinder, and extend the service life. In addition, aluminum alloy gas cylinders also have the advantage of being lightweight.
